At Fix My Dead PC, we provide a variety of services we can perform on your computer. We can do Diagnostics, Virus Removals, Data Recovery, System Tune Ups, System Upgrades, Hardware and Software Installations, as well as a priority service.
When you bring in your computer - this is what to expect:
- We will require a diagnostic in most situations. We do this because we belive it is best for the customer. It gives you the opportunity to have EVERYTHING laid out before you, prices, services that need to be performed, etc. This way, you can pick and choose what you want done, or maybe decide its time for a new system.
- You will need to fill out a form. On this form you will put contact information, logins and passwords, and a DETAILED description of your problem.
- Your system will be put in a waiting line with other computers. The time it will take for your system to reach the tech bench will be ESTIMATED by the person helping you at the front desk.
- Once we are done with the diagnostics, we will give you a call with what we have found, along with prices. You are more than welcome to think about them or come into the shop to talk at this point.
- Once you approve the services, we will get started on them. We will give you an ESTIMATED completion time. Assuming you do not need a part ordered, we will most times complete the job by the end of the next day.
Priority Service:
- Puts you at the front of the wait line - $50 - Does not apply towards diagnostics or labor.
Diagnostics:
- Necessary on most systems - $40 - Reduced to $20 if we actually do any work.
Virus Removals:
- Includes full system scans using multiple programs. We will update current antivirus and/or install several free programs you can use in the future. Programs include AVG, Malwarebytes, and Super Anti-Spyware.
- Minor removal - $60
- Standard - $80-$120
- Major - $200 - Includes full system backup and clean install of windows.
Data Recovery:
- The pricing on this service varies greatly depending on the difficulty of recovery, viruses, and size.
- Simple recovery that is 30GB MAX - $60
- Simple recovery that is 120GB MAX - $80
- Virus infected, damaged HD, over 120GB - $100-$200
System Tune:
- We have 2 levels of tuneup. One is a minor tune up, doing basic things, the other is full-blown and extensive.
- Mini Tune - $40
- Full Tune - $80 - Clean system inside and out, remove temporary files, update Windows fully, Install and update antivirus fully + run scans, defragment HD
System Upgrade:
- Need hardware to play that newest game or render videos? We can help!
- Pricing is the parts + labor. We will fully install and configure the new parts. Check Hardware below for hardware install prices.
Hardware Installations:
- If you need a hardware device replaced or upgraded, we can install and fully configure the part for you.
- Install HD and format - $20
- Install HD, format, transfer data - $80
- Install power supply - $20
- Install modem/sound/wireless card - $20
- Install motherboard - $80
- Install processor - $20
- Install optical drives - $20
Software Installations:
- If you need software installed and configured, we can do that for you! just like hardware, configuration is included (the level of configuration we can do varies on the software)
- Install windows - $100 - Includes installation of drivers, updates, antivirus and other utilities, full configuration.
- Windows upgrade - $80 - Includes the same as a full install.
- MS Office Suite - free with clean install. Will do limited outlook config
